If you are heading off into the woods for the very first time in your life, then you need to be fully and properly prepared. Of course, you may already have taken drives out of the city and into the country, and spent some time into the woods before heading back into the city to prepare yourself for the Monday morning rush. But walking in the woods for no more than a couple of hours on a quiet Sunday and mildly pleasant afternoon is nowhere near quite the same as sleeping in the woods for at least a couple of nights.

Even at the height of summer, and this may surprise some of you, it could get pretty darn cold in the middle of the night. A weekend camping and clothing checklist is surely going to include patagonia clothing and similar lines like it which you can get from specialist stores like Beaver Sports. It’s going to be thick, warm and woolen clothing to be sure. But it’s also going to be pretty comfortable. It needs to be. And you’ve got to get you something to keep away the bugs. Because it is here that the bedbugs really are going to come out and bite you in the middle of the night.
Well, they’re going to try, and only if you let them. Those of you who have at least had weekend afternoon walking excursions out there might readily concur with the following. Surely one of the most important, if not the most important clothing items on your list is going to be the footwear. And hiking and mountain trail boots and/or walking shoes are not the only items of footwear you’re going to be packing in. You’ve got to have what are fondly referred to as mountain socks.
